Wuggles Publishing is a one-man band painfully producing small runs of off-beat, non-PC books to help fill a few of the gaping holes mainstream publishers simply can’t be bothered with or are too scared to produce. It’s a familiar situation for any would-be writer, yet inevitable when you think about it. For every one of the huge number of publishers there are hundreds of hopeful aspiring authors so the publishers can afford to be highly selective—and you can’t blame them for that! So what’s to do? Do it yourself, that’s what! With today’s computers, desktop publishing to a high degree of quality is quite feasible even on a severely limited budget. It also takes a lot of time to do and if you expect to make any money at it then try smoking and drinking heavily instead - you’ll make a lot more! Breaking even will be an outstanding success only the most optimistic of lifetime losers can ever dream of; the best you’ll probably be able to achieve is not to lose too much on every book you produce.
Still, if that’s the only way to get your work on the shelves, then so be it. Wuggles Publishing lurched into life this way and if I can do it, so can you - definitely! The titles in "BOOKS" on this amateurish site are some of those that have come via Wuggles Publishing, though a few have been produced by more professional companies.
For any mainstream publishers reading this, if you think you’d like to take up any of Wuggles Publishing’s offerings with a view to doing bigger runs, please get in touch. The Pellican Square book is going particularly well and I have high hopes for both "Living with Siamese Cats" and "The No-Nonsense Angler". Being a loss-making set-up utilized purely as a hobby to fill my retirement as I rapidly approach my dotage, it is regretted that Wuggles Publishing is at present unable to engage in any other commitments at present. If this changes in the future, I’ll post it here.
