           View from the bridge

A rare opportunity to purchase quality fishing rights on a wild trout stream in the Brecon Beacons.

About 744 yards of freehold double bank and. 586 yards of single bank Welsh wild trout stream fishing is on offer.

Access is easy from a bridge carrying a little-used tarmac farm access lane (which is in good condition). Banks are generally level, making things relatively easy for the elderly or those with infirmities and the whole beat is accessible with rod and line.

River character is interesting with a mixture of fast, rocky sandstone runs and deep pools, some of which  hold salmon very late in the season. The fishery is a spawning river for salmon.

The stretch on offer is rarely fished (a total of about 20 hours total in 2007). As a result, resident wild trout grow to over 2lb in weight (several of this size have been caught) with pounders relatively common. The present owners have followed a strict policy of catch-and-release, minimal disturbance and "fly only" for many years, thus ensuring the natural stock of wild fish remains of good quality.

The surrounding area is quiet and unspoiled. The landowner maintains his property in excellent condition and takes an active interest in the conservation of wildlife. Woodland, on one or the other banks, is not interfered with and contains many varieties of trees, some evidently of great age.

An almost complete lack of any human intrusion ensures this is an excellent hideaway to escape to when feeling stressed-out. The owners will be very sorry to part with it.
